Internship Opportunity with BUILD

BuildLogoBUILD is currently seeking an undergraduate intern to join their young, rapidly growing non-profit.  This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, responsible, self-motivated student leader that is interested in pursuing a career in social entrepreneurship, youth development, or event planning.  BUILD interns can expect to gain a number of valuable skills over the course of the quarter including project management, event planning, and volunteer management and will gain immeasurable experience working in a great team environment.

About BUILD
BUILD is a social venture located in eastern Menlo Park, California. BUILD's mission is to provide real-world entrepreneurial experience that empowers youth from under-resourced communities to excel in education, lead in their communities, and succeed professionally.  By encouraging students to develop their own small businesses, BUILD extends traditional entrepreneurial education far beyond the classroom and provides students with real-world business experiences, with the goal of preparing them for college. 

Responsibilities:
The intern will work closely with the BUILD staff on a variety of projects including but not limited to:
1) Research scholarships and summer enrichment programs for all BUILD incubator students
2) Coach seniors through the scholarship application process
3) Database maintenance and analysis
4) Helping with other marketing and program related projects

Qualifications:
The ideal BUILD intern will have the following skills:
- Enthusiastic
- Possess the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Have good writing, proofreading and communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Focus, creativity, drive, and the ability to follow through
- Computer literate and internet savvy
- Experience working with youth
