University Network for Social Entrepreneurship
The University Network for Social Entrepreneurship connects adminstrators, researchers, and academics in the subject of social entrepeneurship. This helps universities around the world develop programs and to share information regarding social entrepreneurship. This network was created by members of Ashoka and the Skoll Center for Social Entrepeneurship in 2004.

Origo News
Origo Cross-Sector News is a clipping service that provides a birds-eye view of trends spanning multinational corporations, governments, non-profit's, foundations, investors and social entrepreneurs, and aims to encourage dialogue between these groups. It houses an indexed and searchable archive of the articles featured in the email newsletter, which now amounts to several thousand. Both the newsletter and web site are provided free of charge to an international audience of business, non-profit and government leaders.

SEL’s aim is to promote London as the country’s most recognisable social enterprise community.
Founded in 2004, Social Enterprise London is the heart and voice of the social enterprise sector in London. Its website includes an academic journal on social entrepreneurship, a knowledge section containing various articles pertaining to social entrepreneurship, and an events section about social enterprise events in London.

The Social Enterprise Initiative at HBS generates and shares knowledge that helps individuals and organizations create social value in the nonprofit, private, and public sectors.
Founded in 1993 by former Dean John H. McArthur and interested faculty and staff with the initial support of John C. Whitehead, the Social Enterprise Initiative has made impressive achievements in building the field of social enterprise. Founded in 1998 by Klaus Schwab, President and Founder of the World Economic Forum, and his wife Hilde, the Schwab Foundation is considered one of the leading institutions in building the field of social entrepreneurship. Benetech
The Benetech Initiative is a non-profit venture that provides social benefits by harnessing the power of technology. Benetech delivers these benefits using the new model of social entrepreneurship, which combines market forces with philanthropic capital and entrepreneurial drive. Benetech focuses the efforts of technology and technologists to solve important problems facing society.
Founded in 2000, Benetech is one of the few social enterprises developing new and advanced technology. Its website includes information about Benetech projects in the fields of disability, literacy, human rights and the environment and also includes a weblog by Benetech CEO Jim Fruchterman on issues and ideas that affect the application of technology to unmet social needs.

Stanford Social Innovation Review
The Stanford Social Innovation Review is an academic journal that presents the best ideas in nonprofit management, philanthropy and corporate citizenship. The Stanford Social Innovation Review crowns an initiative launched three years ago by the Stanford Graduate School of Business to found the Center for Social Innovation. The main audience of the SSIR is nonprofit executives, grant making executives, social entrepreneurs, and corporate executives concerned with social, environmental, and community issues.
Founded in 2003 by the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, the Stanford Social Innovation Review is the only business school publication from a prestigious university to focus on issues in social innovation. Its website includes articles from its print publication (membership required) and a forum covering the topics of accountability, civic engagement, civil society, foundation practices, general operating support, inter-sector relationships, measuring results, nonprofit management, payout and perpetuity, philanthropic strategy, public policy, and social entrepreneurship. Skoll Foundation
The Skoll Foundation advances systemic change to benefit communities around the world by investing in, connecting and celebrating social entrepreneurs. Jeff Skoll explains, “The idea is that a little bit of good can turn into a whole lot of good when fueled by the commitment of a social entrepreneur. We find the people with those world-changing ideas, and then we empower them—by investing in, connecting and celebrating them—to effect even greater impact. KickStart
KickStart, formerly known as ApproTEC, is a non-profit organization that develops and markets new technologies in Africa. These low-cost technologies are bought by local entrepreneurs, and used to establish highly profitable new small businesses. They create new jobs and new wealth and allow the poor to climb out of their poverty forever.
Founded in Kenya in July 1991 by Nick Moon and Martin Fisher, KickStart is considered one of the most successful examples of social entrepreneurship, having received awards from Ashoka, the Skoll Foundation, and numerous other organizations. Its website includes information about the different technologies they have developed and the various details of their business strategy.

Acumen Fund is a global non-profit venture fund serving the four billion people living on less than $4 a day. Their aim is to create a blueprint for building financially sustainable and scalable organizations that deliver affordable, critical goods and services that elevate the lives of the poor. The Acumen Fund adheres to a disciplined process in selecting and managing their philanthropic investments as well as in measuring the end results.
Incorporated on April 1, 2001, with seed capital from the Rockefeller Foundation, Cisco Systems Foundation and three individual philanthropists, Acumen Fund is considered one of the leading institutions in what is known as venture philanthropy. Social Edge, or “The Edge” as some members call it, is the online community where social entrepreneurs, nonprofit professionals, philanthropists and other practitioners of the social sector connect to network, learn, inspire and share resources. Social Edge is sponsored by the Skoll Foundation and owned and shaped by its members.
Social Edge is considered the premiere online community for social entrepreneurs. Its website includes forums, online workshops, and six unique portals covering the topics of non-profits, philanthropy, policy, social sector, technology, and anything goes.

FUSION: Future Social Innovators Network
FUSION, the Future Social Innovators Network, informs, inspires, and involves the next generation of entrepreneurs. FUSION began as a student project five years ago in a course on social entrepreneurship taught by Professor Greg Dees. Since then, FUSION has evolved into an undergraduate student organization, hosting workshops, conferences, and a guest lecture series in addition to encouraging the development of an entire course series on social entrepreneurship and driving the introduction of a minor in Social Innovation at Stanford.
FUSION is the only undergraduate organization in the country that focuses on issues in social entrepreneurship. Its website includes news about upcoming events, information on courses and internships relating to social entrepreneurship, and links to other Stanford social entrepreneurship organizations.
