Stanford Educators Corner Videos and Podcasts on Social Entrepreneurship

The Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) Educators Corner is a free online archive of entrepreneurship resources for teaching and learning.

Featuring a wealth of online resources, including videos, podcasts, and case studies on social entrepreneurship, the archive showcases candid, provocative sessions with thought leaders and social entrepreneurs captured in conversation.

New Stanford GSB Podcast Channel: Social Innovation Conversations

The Stanford Graduate School of Business has launched a podcasting channel, Social Innovation Conversations, offering free audio programs or podcasts addressing some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.

The channel is designed as a collaborative online platform for thought leaders, community leaders, and scholars to share their knowledge across differing sectors for multidisciplinary learning. Programs on tap include conferences, faculty lectures, speaker events, and expert interviews.

Social Fusion: Generation Next

Social Fusion, a business incubator for entrepreneurs to grow for-profit and nonprofit businesses that produce sustainable social and environmental impact, presented its fifth "Conversations in Social Enterprise" session. Panelists for the September 23rd session, Generation Next: Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow, gathered with 50 attendees to discuss the opportunities and lessons learned in empowering youth. They shared remarkable stories of youth innovation and discussed how to include youth in an organization. The session was concluded by two extremely talented teen poets from Youth Speaks. Social Fusion: Hybrid Capital and Sustainability

Social Fusion, a business incubator dedicated to making social innovation sustainable, presented the second of two panels on business and capital markets based social change last Friday July 29th at the World Affairs Council in San Francisco. This engaged dialogue focused on “Hybrid” models and how these types of organizations are offering a new breed of innovation that unites profits and conscience. San Francisco is quickly assuming a global leadership role in social investing, where investors and philanthropists are achieving simultaneous financial as well as social benefit returns on investment. Investors and Entrepreneurs Discuss Breakthroughs in Social Capital

Social Fusion, a business incubator dedicated to making social innovation sustainable, presented the first of two panels on business and capital markets based social change last Friday June 24th at the World Affairs Council in San Francisco. This engaged dialogue showcased the mainstreaming of social investing and the bridging of private sector and traditionally philanthropic and nonprofit sectors through so-called ‘double bottom line’ investing. San Francisco is quickly assuming a global leadership role in social investing, where investors and philanthropists are achieving simultaneous financial as well as social benefit returns on investment.
